Parental Partnerships

Tracey Devlin (Lead Educator for Family Support & Inclusion) says…

I have worked with children for over 30 years and have much experience with both typically developed children and those who have more complex needs. My role as a Family Support and Inclusion Coordinator is to ensure that all our children are given equal access and opportunities to all of what Growing Places offers. By working collaboratively with our families, educators and outside agencies Growing Places aims to better understand children’s individual needs and therefore offer children strategies to independently manage and remove barriers to their learning’.

Growing Places believes that all children have the right to access equal opportunities and support, to reach their full potential.

Family is central to the Growing Places culture

Growing Places understands that healthy child development is supported when children feel safe, happy and have access to an engaging environment.  We encourage a three way collaboration between parents children and educators to develop:

  • Consistency in children learning experiences through shared opportunities for creative investigations supported by motivated knowledgeable educator’s.
  • Shared mutual respect and understanding.
  • A feeling of ownership by all involved.

AS A CHILDCARE PROVIDER we aim to:

  • provide the highest quality of care and education for your child
  • provide safe, engaging facilities within each setting
  • deliver a childcare service that is flexible and affordable
  • work hard to meet the individual needs of ALL children and their families
  • ensure that families benefit from unlimited half-rate holidays
  • provide healthy, hot meals for those attending during lunch sessions in both nursery and holiday club settings
  • charge competitive fees that enable us to meet all costs without profit
Additionally, COMMUNITY CHILDCARE CENTRES (Growing Places) is very proud to provide: FREE parent workshops and additional events for our families and local community; families with opportunities to enjoy local camping trips, made fully inclusive for all children. We provide all tents and camping equipment and the experiences are fully staffed by our team members throughout the time.

“participation is an educational strategy that characterises our way of being and teaching. Participation of the children, the teachers and the families, not only by taking part in something but being part of it, it’s essence, part of a common identity”.
