At Growing Places we have a commitment to supporting and encouraging the professional development of all our people.

We help to build on individual strengths and identify areas for development.

Our children and their families deserve the very best childcare service. We therefore ensure that our practitioners have tailored development plans including in and out-of-house training, one to one coaching, staff meetings and regular monitoring meetings with honest, clear and consistent feedback.

Our training fosters a ‘can do’ attitude in our people who role model positive dispositions within their teams.

This enables us to ‘stay ahead of the game’ with good practice emulated throughout the company.

There are clear pathways for development with a variety of trainee, practitioner, supervisory and management positions throughout the nurseries and out-of-school clubs.

Also, as a charity the company is responsible to the board of trustees, where there may also be opportunities for parents and/or others to become part of Growing Places.
